
Marvin Morse, former Longboat Key Democratic Club President and long term Board member, passed away on February 11. A memorial service will be held at Temple Beth Israel, 567 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key Thursday, February 15 at 11:30 am.
The burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery later this year.
Judge Marvin Morse had a distinguished career having worked in the federal government for 40 years, including the Department of the Navy, the Defense Department, the General Services Administration and the U.S. Postal Service. He was an expert in administrative law and for many years was an Administrative Law Judge.
After retirement, in addition to serving as the President of our Club, he volunteered for more than 20 years at the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium and was a board member at Temple Beth Israel.
Marvin contributed much to our Club and has remained a friend to many of us. He will be greatly missed.
